CUP’s work in Pittsburgh

CUP's work in Pittsburgh

Last year, Pittsburgh's Urban Redevelopment Authority asked CUP to show them how they could create their own version of our Urban Investigations program. This year, they launched Urban Matters with their first project in which local high school students explored the issue of land banks in their city. The twelve students and teaching artists researched the topic by going out into the city and interviewing important stakeholders in the process. The project culminated in a fun and short documentary-style video.

You can watch the first ever Urban Matters video here: http://vimeo.com/108510126

Check out this great article on the project here!

If you’d like to hire CUP to train your community or school in how to run your own Urban Investigation, email us at info@welcometocup.org.
