“Power Trip” Presentation for Queens High School Students

"Power Trip" Presentation for Queens High School Students

On November 10, CUP presented our Urban Investigation "Power Trip" to a buzzing group of Queens high schoolers. The project —a collaboration between CUP, CUP teaching artist Samantha Contis, and students from Aviation High School— asked "where does my electricity come from?" To find out, students interviewed energy experts, toured power plants, and peered down manholes. They created a booklet and poster that helps to break down the energy supply chain.

This project was made possible by the Greening Western Queens Fund of the North Star Fund.
