Who Makes Bail? Debut Presentation

_Who Makes Bail?_ Debut Presentation

On February 14, 2018 students from the Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice presented Who Makes Bail?

Students from the Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice (LGJ) collaborated with CUP and Teaching Artist Caits Meisnner to dive deep into New York’s bail system, how it works, who’s affected, and how it impacts communities across the city. To investigate, students got out of the classroom and into the middle of the issue. Students surveyed members of the school community, interviewed key stakeholders working on the issue, and sat in on public arraignments in Bronx Criminal Court. Students debuted the booklet they created and shared the creative process at LGJ
