Video The Internet is Serious Business

This video follows the adventures of a curious extraterrestrial and a ragtag team of New York City youth. They meet with a City Council member, Verizon engineers, law professors, packet switchers, and subterranean landlords, and discover a pattern of ownership and regulation more shocking than she could have ever imagined.

This video also comes with an educator’s guide that contains activities to help you and your alien friends understand complicated concepts like net neutrality, and how the internet is actually a series of tubes.

You can watch the video online here.

If you are looking to acquire a copy for a library, or are interested in hosting a screening, please email info@welcometocup.org.

  • 28 min DVD and 36-page educator’s guide in a 5-1/4″ × 7-1/2" box
