Whether it’s a racist comment or an intimidating look, harassment violates our shared right to safety in public space. That right isn’t something we can take for granted—we all play a role in protecting each other from harassment and making public space safe for everyone.

A common barrier people face in intervening when they see harassment is simply not knowing what to do. That’s why CUP, Hollaback!, and designer Leah Garlock teamed up to create Show Up, a pocket-sized guide to bystander intervention. Show Up breaks bystander intervention down into easy-to-remember actions anyone can take, drawing from the curriculum Hollaback! has used to train over bystanders all over the world.
