What’s the process of applying for financial aid? The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is one of the first steps in the application process for prospective college students, and determines eligibility for different kinds of financial aid. But it can be overwhelming, especially for students who are the first in their family to go to college. Students from CUNY College Now at City Tech worked with CUP teaching artist Becky Slogeris to demystify the basics.

The group created a desk-sized poster on the FAFSA for high school students getting started on financial aid. The poster is currently being used by College Now as a recruitment and education tool, and is a helpful guide for any high school senior.
